All Nations

I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me—also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia.  They have all become citizens of Jerusalem! Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city. When the LORD registers the nations, he will say, “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.” [Psalm 87.4-6]

I have come into contact recently with a person who vehemently argues that the Bible teaches there is a chosen race on the earth using "original language" references to support that claim. It is worth noting that this person seems to me to be overwhelmingly angry and otherwise miserable.

The passage referenced above is evidence enough that God loves all the peoples of all the nations of the world and no amount of original language definitions (defined by whom?) can alter its meaning.

Repentance remains the only stipulation to become one of God's own.

It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ [Luke 24.47]

Father in heaven, may those who promote racism encounter Your Word in such a way that Your love for all nations and peoples is evident. May the love, joy and peace of Your Holy Spirit displace the hatred, anger, and bitterness of racism.
