Perhaps you will think to yourselves, ‘How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?’ But don’t be afraid of them! Just remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt. Remember the great terrors the LORD your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The LORD your God will use this same power against all the people you fear. And then the LORD your God will send terror to drive out the few survivors still hiding from you! [Deuteronomy 7.17-20]
Remember! Just remember!
As stated in my post yesterday, most of us have lived to experience or witness some miracle whether we realize it or not. And, even if we cannot recall a single event we believe was the direct handiwork of the LORD, we still have the Bible and all the miracles described in it.
Here is where we must train our minds to meditate on these miracles. We must impress and commit these things to our memory. We must know our God and what He does! Otherwise, if we do not know our God and what He does, how will we ever anticipate what He will do?
Faith in what God will do is greatly enhanced in the remembrance of what He has done!
I think I will make the above statement again:
Faith in what God will do is greatly enhanced in the remembrance of what He has done!
Remember?
Father, You have done great things as recorded in the Bible. But, You have also done great things in my life. I want to constantly remember all You have done because it makes me know what You will do when I face impossible situations. All praise to You!
