Joshua 15:20-17:18
I am not sure at what point it became okay that the Israelites did not drive out all the enemy inhabitants of their Promised Land.
Judah failed to drive out the Jebusites. Ephraim failed to drive out Canaanites. Manasseh failed to drive out Canaanites. Small as these failures seemed to be, coupled with the excuse of making their enemies their slaves, did not make up for the fact that they had previously been told to completely wipe out their enemies.
This sounds a lot like the modern Church letting the enemy exist in areas that clearly the LORD has indicated it should not.
It is worth considering.
Father, forgive us for allowing our enemies to remain among us.
