Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The LORD answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins. [Genesis 25.21]
Were Isaac's prayers for himself or for Rebekah?
If we can see it, we should understand that all our prayers for others in fact come back to us for good. One way or the other, when we pray for another human being, even if only by virtue of tending to another's need, God has set it up where we get blessed too.
How cool is that?
Father, help me to see today that my prayers for others glorify You first, then them, and then me.
