Revelation (Amazing)

Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth—the one who accuses them before our God day and night. [Revelation 12.10]

I claim no expertise on the subject of Revelation. However, I am a human with at least some capacity to follow the Holy Spirit so I will continue to try to comprehend what Revelation is talking about!

This year, as I encountered this passage in my One Year Chronological Bible daily reading, it occurred to me that a few things from this verse very closely reflect much of Jesus' teaching.

Jesus brought salvation.

Jesus taught extensively about the Kingdom of God.

Jesus claimed all authority in heaven and on earth.

Jesus acknowledged Satan's presence and work in His time on earth.

Because of the discernable parallels of the passage above with the Jesus' time on earth, it begs our understanding to see the correlation of the two.

Now, with the statement above just made, we may indeed find at least a point of reference as it regards timing of all things "Revelation" because we know the time of Jesus' walk on earth. And, this is where I will resign to more contemplation because the scope of what is said here in this paragraph is far greater than my current comprehension!

How amazing is God's Word!

Father, please continue to speak to my heart regarding Your Word, and particularly, the Book of Revelation. Help me to see through the imagery of the Book of Revelation and understand the message hidden from all but those who, by Your Holy Spirit, are enlightened to see it.
