Jesus

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. [1 John 5.4]

Jesus made it clear to us that faith was the vehicle to overcome everything in and of the world that stands in the way of God's blessings.

Jesus proved this by overcoming lack, sickness, death, hunger, and the laws of physics and weather and declaring faith to be the enabling factor to do so.

Everything Jesus overcame with His faith qualified by Old Testament standards as "curses" for disobedience (see Deuteronomy 28). Curses rightly belong to evil. This evil is what faith overcomes!

It begins with faith in Jesus - His life and testimony.

This Christmas Day is a good time to consider not just a baby in a manger, but our Example.

Father, thank you for Jesus.
