“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” [Luke 16.13]
What does it mean to be enslaved to money?
That is a great question isn't it?
"Enslaved to money" would undoubtedly be defined as pretty much everything our economic system is today.
I will let each person who reads the statement above decide for himself or herself what that means.
For me...
Father, forgive me for being sucked in to the systems and standards of the world. Forgive me for allowing myself to be controlled by things You never intended to control me. Forgive me for being enslaved to money.
