...and you will know that I am the LORD. For you have refused to obey my decrees and regulations; instead, you have copied the standards of the nations around you.” [Ezekiel 11.12]
So, it's bad to copy the standards of the nations around us?
How ignorant can we be?
God wants nothing more than for us to be His people and therefore look and act like His people.
How many things have we done just to be like some other nation of the world? How many of those things are in violation of God's Word and His will?
It is time for God's people to look and act like God's people!
And, how do God's people look and act? If we are too dull to understand how to look and act by the Old Testament instructions, then God made it real simple for us by sending Jesus to quite literally show us.
The sad thing is, we are more interested in looking like the world than we are interested in looking like Jesus!
Father, please forgive me in my desire to look like the world instead of looking like Jesus.
