Song of Solomon 1-8

I cannot say I have any idea what spiritual lesson there is in Song of Solomon today.

Aren't there enough sexual distractions in daily life without all the innuendos and sexually-charged references found in Song of Solomon added to the mix?

With all that is taking place in the world and the USA on this day in history - all the perverted sexual explicitness that has obviously led to judgment from God - how can Song of Solomon improve on the situation?

Father, I do not understand why the Song of Solomon 'made the cut' and became a part of the Bible. That said, I will conclude that it did so for a reason and will give consideration to what that reason is...
