Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, “This is what God says: Why do you disobey the LORD’s commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the LORD, and now he has abandoned you!” [2 Chronicles 24.20]
These are NOT the words God's people want to hear!
However, Truth cannot be ignored. Sin separates people from God. Separation from God means every curse for disobedience is unleashed.
How can one know he has been abandoned by God? He no longer prospers! And what is prosperity if it is not provision, healing, salvation, and the presence of God's Holy Spirit?
Father, we have many of the obvious signs of being abandoned by You. Please forgive us as a nation, forgive us who are the Body of Christ, and forgive us as individual believers. Restore us to prosperity in all things as we repent - turn to You. Look upon us and heal us. You are our only hope!
