An Aramean soldier, however, randomly shot an arrow at the Israelite troops and hit the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. “Turn the horses and get me out of here!” Ahab groaned to the driver of the chariot. “I’m badly wounded!” [2 Chronicles 18.33]
It could have been a total random coincidence, right?
If this was a total random coincidence, then the prophecy regarding it was even more incredible:
Then Micaiah told him, “In a vision I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, like sheep without a shepherd. And the LORD said, ‘Their master has been killed. Send them home in peace.’” [2 Chronicles 18.16]
There remain unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible. Ahab's little deal was just one very small prophecy fulfilled, but there were many other huge prophecies fulfilled as well, not the least of which was the birth of Jesus the Messiah.
Among the unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible is Jesus' promise to return to gather His own unto Himself and the Father in heaven for eternity.
Will it happen?
Yes, it will.
Father, I am certain that You are working in the events going on in the earth today. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
