And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. [Matthew 24.14]
What is the Good News about the Kingdom?
Forgiveness.
Isn't it salvation? No, salvation is the result of forgiveness.
Isn't it healing? No, healing is the result of forgiveness.
Isn't it provision? No, provision is the result of forgiveness.
Isn't it peace of mind? No, peace of mind is the result of forgiveness.
The Good News about the Kingdom is forgiveness. Unless man is forgiven, there are only curses to look forward to. The curse of sin is death and everything that leads up to it. That includes hell, sickness, lack, and turmoil.
God is good - His faithful love endures forever. In other words, God forgives.
Father, help me to more fully understand forgiveness!
