Consumed By Knowledge

But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase. [Daniel 12.4]

I make no claims of understanding much of what Daniel wrote. However, I am intrigued by the passage above. I am particularly interested in the last part of the passage that describes the time of the end when many will rush here and there and knowledge will increase. Do that sound like today or what?

One thing that I have noticed more and more with each passing day is that, with the tremendous increase in knowledge - the advancement of technology and the ability to know what is going on halfway around the world as it is happening; the technological 'conveniences' that seem to consume us more than help us - there is no doubt "less time" and people are navigating through life at light speed.

Is it possible to stop this cycle?

Father, help me to know how to prevent myself being further consumed by the advancements of technology!
