“Therefore, this is what the LORD says: Since you have not obeyed me by setting your countrymen free, I will set you free to be destroyed by war, disease, and famine. You will be an object of horror to all the nations of the earth. [Jeremiah 34.17]
It seems to me many are living in the freedom described here.
The sad thing is though, most all living in this "freedom" of war, disease, and famine don't even see what is happening.
It is better to be a slave to God than to be free.
We should think about this.
Father, help me to understand that I am a slave to You but to no one else. My life has been bought by the blood of Jesus - I am not my own. My 'bondage' is seen in the absence of war, disease, and famine in and around my life. However, freedom manifests itself in war, disease, and famine...
