Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice. Perhaps even yet the LORD God of Heaven’s Armies will have mercy on the remnant of his people. [Amos 5.15]
The prophecy of Amos is not easy. He repeatedly speaks of the injustice going on and warns its proponents.
Justice. Now there is a word that is largely misunderstood today. In fact, justice has been perverted in most societies.
Justice means the wicked will be punished.
Justice means the oppressed will be relieved.
Justice means the poor will have enough.
Justice means the rich will not be plundered.
Justice means the sick will be healed.
Justice means God's goodness will prevail.
Justice means God's Word will stand.
Justice means God's Kingdom prevails.
Father, help me to understand justice...
