Whatever Happens?

Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith. [Philippians 3.1]

It's funny that as I tried to get this response posted today, I had nothing but computer trouble. Between two limping computers, I have been able to rely back and forth between on one or the other to get my posting done. But today was different. Looks like time to buy a new piece of equipment! But it is not a good time financially to buy a new computer! I could go on...

I am faced with my own resolve today. Will I rejoice regardless of my circumstances? Will I rejoice in every circumstance? If past circumstances were a test, I am afraid my score would be quite low if rejoicing is the grading factor.

The real sad thing is, here I am fretting over s stupid computer and Paul was likely referring (in the verse above) to the uncertainty of the continuance of his life!

Thank God for His Word and how it speaks to our current circumstances!

Father, help me to listen to and learn from You! Help me to benefit from Paul's testimony!
