“After I returned to Jerusalem, I was praying in the Temple and fell into a trance. I saw a vision of Jesus saying to me, ‘Hurry! Leave Jerusalem, for the people here won’t accept your testimony about me.’ [Acts 22.17-18]
I wonder at what point Paul was 'released' by Jesus from this instruction?
Jerusalem was not a good place for the combination of Gentiles and Christianity.
As I consider the prophecies given to Paul before returning to Jerusalem (the final time), I cannot help but think there is more to be understood.
As Christians follow the Spirit of God, it would seem good, if not healthy, to at least consider what the "body" is hearing from the Spirit to compare with what we as individuals are hearing!
I'm just saying...
Father, help me be attentive to the entire Body of Christ - the Church - and follow You, not with an individualistic aoproach, but a corporate approach.
