Together

 Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. [1 Corinthians 3.16-17]

I guess I never realized that Paul said that "together" we are the temple of God. 

I always knew from an early age that my body is the temple of God, but that does not seem to really convey the gist of what Paul was saying here.

It would seem that Paul is saying that the "temple" is incomplete in just one person. It takes God's people to realize that TOGETHER we are the temple of God. Anyone who brings disunity to the Body of Christ then is destroying God's temple!

Oh wow. I wonder how Paul felt about this in his quarrel and separation from Barnabas?

Father, help us all see the significance of unity among believers!
