Focus

And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. [Matthew 24.11-14]

These are words of Jesus about end times. Sure, much of what is said is difficult to understand, but something here today stood out to me clearly.

Many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.

But something else will be happening at the same time: ...the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world...

How will we know they difference between false prophets and true prophets? The message! True prophets of God will likely be occupied not with elaborate doctrines and hard sayings! True prophets of God will be focused on one thing: the Good News about the Kingdom of God!

Can you say, "For God so loved the world..."?

Father, I know I have wasted a whole lot of time talking about stuff... Let my life and ministry be focused on one thing: the Good News of Your Kingdom!
