The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD will answer my prayer. [Psalm 6.9]
...Says a man after known to be a man after God's own heart!
These are not wimpy words penned by David. Instead they are words of confidence, faith, and power. They are words to stand on, yes, but they are the standing in itself!
Is it arrogance to make such a claim as David made here? Good question. But, the answer is "no" for those whose hearts are pure.
David's words here signify first off that David had relationship with Yahweh (the LORD). David declared God's name freely. One cannot (and will not successfully) do that without relationship.
Yahweh. It is a name to know! He Is One to know!
And, when we know Him and His Name, we, like David, can confidently say, "The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD will answer my prayer!"
Father, You are good and I am privileged to call You my Father. I know You hear me; and I know You will answer my prayer!
