Attitude

Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. No one is holy like the LORD!  There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. [1 Samuel 2.1-2]

God had answered Hannah's prayer for a son. The verses above were the beginning of Hannah's prayer of thanksgiving and praise to God for giving her a son.

Hannah kept her word of commitment in dedicating Samuel to the LORD.

Hannah even worshiped God in her act of fulfilling her commitment.

There is something about this that speaks to me of commitment... but more than that, it crosses over into worship and praise.

For me, sometimes fulfilling a commitment is a sober thing. I do what I have committed, but without enthusiasm and, certainly without praise. I can see in Hannah's example that I need to work on this area!

It seems to have a lot to do with attitude.

Father, thank You for helping me see that I can worship You in every commitment I make!
