And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. [Romans 8.17]
Have you wondered yet how we live the same life Jesus lived, enjoying all the same power and authority, but not suffering?
Well, Paul says suffering is part of it... but not unlike Jesus told us also.
What is the suffering we are to expect? Let me be very clear that I see nothing in the Bible to suggest it is sickness or disease. If we are to suffer, it is to suffer like Jesus! How did He suffer? He suffered for people.
He put up with people.
He loved those who hated Him.
HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR ALL!
We need to think about this!
Father help me to lay my life down for others!
