The words of a priest’s lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should go to him for instruction, for the priest is the messenger of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. [Malachi 2.7]
If, in Christ, we have been made kings and priests, then, it would make sense that the instruction provided by Malachi is contemporary to us.
As it appears to me, every believer in Jesus Christ is a messenger of the LORD of Heaven's Armies. Our lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should be coming to us for instruction.
When Jesus instructed us to pray for God's Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, He very much confirmed us as messengers of the LORD.
Father, I want to please You in my estimation of, and obedience to, my role as a king and priest in Your Kingdom.
