The Bible Proves God's Love For His People

“Is not Israel still my son, my darling child?” says the LORD. “I often have to punish him, but I still love him. That’s why I long for him and surely will have mercy on him. [Jeremiah 31.20]

Punishment does not always mean abandonment. Punishment means there is still hope. Punishment means there is still love.

God has given us all the Bible to prove His love for His people. His story is a love story. It is indeed a story that involves punishment - but not without assurance of restoration.

We can be sure that God is always working to restore us.

Will we repent and allow His restoration?

Father, help us to see the consistency of Your love for Your own throughout the Bible. Help us to see that, yes, You require repentance, but that You are always merciful to a broken and contrite spirit - a humble heart and attitude.
