Know God

You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. [Psalm 97.10]

There are those who believe God tests his children with "trials."

But, that just doesn't seem consistent with the verse above, does it? No, God protects His godly ones (clue here being "godly ones"). He rescues them from the wicked.

I think we need to know our God for Who He is - and there is no better place to learn Who He is than the Bible.

Can we not see that God does not randomly test his children?

I am going to be paying attention over the next days and weeks and months of reading the Bible. I am going to be on the lookout specifically for indicators of just how God treats His own...

Father, I want to know You more.
