Look For Conspiracy or Repent?

The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many will stumble and fall, never to rise again. They will be snared and captured.” [Isaiah 8.11-15]

While there may be many things to fear about what is going on in the earth today, it is right to remain mindful that God is the One Who should really be feared.

Do we not realize that the United States of America, Russia, North Korea and the world are all subject to God? Do we not realize that nothing any world leader does is outside God's control? Do we not realize that nothing any political party does is exempt from God's hand?

Oh, to be sure, there appears to be conspiracy afoot! BUT! God is the One to be feared! His will determines what happens. His wrath is against unrighteousness and unrighteousness abounds! Our place is not to cry out, "Conspiracy!" but to cry out, "God forgive me!"

So, what's it going to be? Look for conspiracy or repent?

Father, forgive me for focusing on the actions of others when it is I who needs to repent.
