Repentance (Another Note Worth Considering)

So King Solomon became richer and wiser than any other king on earth. [1 Kings 10.23]

Today's One Year Chronological Bible reading should be noted by all as it pertains to the readings from the last two days. In particular, my posts here about repentance cannot be ignored.

Solomon reaped enormous blessings. It was because Solomon had asked for wisdom to rule God's people that God abundantly blessed Solomon. Evidently, based on the magnitude of Solomon's fame and blessing, God was VERY pleased with Solomon.

So, based on the information pertaining to Solomon from yesterday's reading and the day before, it is not unclear that Solomon felt very strongly himself about repentance. At least during this time in Solomon's life repentance was huge focal point (the last two day's OYCB readings reveal that obvious fact).

Imagine that, the wisest man to ever live so focused on repentance!

Father, I can see the wisdom in repentance. Solomon's experience is proof positive that wisdom arrives at repentance and repentance (born of wisdom) leads to great blessing.
