May the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful.

Yes.

But we must remain aware that God's blessing and approval are only upon His will being done in us. In other words, when our efforts are for us and us alone, it doesn't seem likely that God will make them successful.

Father, help us to be sure all our efforts are led by You. And, as our efforts are in You, let them be blessed!
