“Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live. [Ezekiel 18.23]
Lest we assume anything incorrectly about what God desires, we should get the verse above into our minds and hearts.
Likewise, we should find it in our hearts to have God's opinion about the fate of the wicked!
God's will is repentance and redemption. It is never His will that people perish.
I think sometimes we should forget all we have taught ourselves about God's "permissive will" because we have given it far too much gravity, and, in some cases, made it more prominent that His perfect will.
There is something very important about us understanding God's heart toward all people here.
Father, help us to grasp Your true intentions toward mankind and develop that same mindset in our own lives!
