Consistency

Then the watchman called out, “Day after day I have stood on the watchtower, my lord. Night after night I have remained at my post. [Isaiah 21.8]

I struggled to feel like anything really spoke to me today from the One Year Chronological Bible reading for the day.

However, in praying with some friends last night, I felt particularly impressed that consistency was a very necessary attribute in a movement of prayer. Although perhaps taking the verse above out of context, it does speak to some degree of consistency.

Father, help me to be consistent in my walk with You. Help me to be consistent in my prayer and devotion to You. Help me be consistent in my benevolence to mankind.
