Good Enough Is Neither Good Nor Enough

But Jehu did not obey the Law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He refused to turn from the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit. [2 Kings 10.31]

This is a real sad statement regarding Jehu's life.

For all he did that fulfilled what he was commanded to do as king of Israel, his final assessment was one of disobedience.

I suppose it simply is not enough to comply with "most" of what our Father God wants of us! Mostly good doesn't make the cut. Good enough is neither "good" nor "enough."

Father, help me to constantly review my own life for anything that displeases You and get rid of it immediately!
