“And now, Israel, listen carefully to these decrees and regulations that I am about to teach you. Obey them so that you may live, so you may enter and occupy the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. [Deuteronomy 4.1]
The announcement above is a clear indicator of what kind of man Moses was. He had just pleaded with God that he might enter the Promised Land and been told no. And yet, Moses' commitment remained steadfast on behalf of Israel.
Now, that's commitment.
Father, I want to have the same commitment I see demonstrated in Moses! I know my own choices and decisions are oftentimes acceptable before You, but I also know sometimes they are sinful. However, I do not wish to underestimate the power of Jesus' work on my behalf! The fact is, I have been made forever right with You by Jesus. Thank You!
