“Listen to me, you who have understanding. Everyone knows that God doesn’t sin! The Almighty can do no wrong. [Job 34.10]
Truly, God will not do wrong. The Almighty will not twist justice. [Job 34.12]
Based on what I am seeing throughout the whole of Job's story, I am not so sure that Elihu is much more help than Job's three friends. However, Elihu did make some factual statements that are worth out consideration (listed above)!
We must establish in our minds that God is perfect and does no wrong. To most accurately comprehend God, it is necessary to understand that He never sins. Every single thing God does is just and without error.
Job had, in his suffering, perhaps lost his conviction about these facts. Or, perhaps Job never had this conviction in the first place (although it is hard to imagine that a man who lives uprightly would not have that conviction). Regardless, Job felt like he had a case to argue with God. However, as the story goes, we find that Job realized he did not in fact have a case to argue with God. Instead, when faced with the facts of God's 'person' Job found himself at a loss for words (and rightfully so).
The brilliance of the story of Job is that, as I read it, I find myself self-righteously offended at 'God's treatment of Job,' and, therefore, my true character revealed much the same as Job's true character was revealed. Like Job though, in the end I have had to close my mouth and accept that God is God and I have no case to argue with Him simply because there is no possible way I could have enough of the facts to even begin to argue a case with God!
Father, I am grateful for the need for 'justice' You have placed in me. But more so I am grateful that even though I may have a little justice in me, You ARE Justice! I am in need of constant grace to accept my insufficiency in the justice realm deferring to You completely!
