Uniqueness of Gender

A man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory. And woman reflects man’s glory. [1 Corinthians 11.7]

This is such a controversial topic. But why does it have to be so? I suppose that answer directly reflects whether one believes in God or not. The controversy comes when we try to make gender-related questions a matter of human equality. Why men and women even want to be equal is beyond me.

The culture in which we live is terribly skewed in its gender-understanding, but it is not so spiritually!

The fact that man reflects God's glory and woman reflects man's glory is worth spending some serious meditation on. I suppose there are attributes of God that simply wouldn't "present" well from the physical and emotional framework of a woman - but according Paul, man reflects that glory. Interestingly enough however, a woman, with all her physical and emotional uniqueness, best reflects the glory of man!

I don't really understand all that this implies, but I do think it's goid!

Father pleasr help me to see and appreciate the uniqueness of gender!
