Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. [Romans 8.18]
I don't think suffering is something we should seek out, however, it is a reality we need to deal with. It would seem to me that the more focused we are on the Kingdom of God, the less anything, including suffering, really matters.
What matters is the Kingdom!
The sad thing is, that most of us won't even begin to seek the Kingdom until we begin to suffer.
Father, I want to grow more focused on the Kingdom!
