The general idea in today's OYCB reading is that things are getting complicated.... Certainly if they were getting complicated in Paul's day, then certainly they are complicated today!
I guess sin is always like that... always comes from the side instead of directly at us - always creating confusion in oreder to draw out "human wisdom" which ultimately goes against God.
Father, when I face confusuion, please help me to stay true to You and Your Word!
