Faithfulness To Worship And Thanksgiving

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever! [Psalm 30.11-12]

David seemed intent to worship God in song and praise. In fact, the Psalms are largely the record of David's having done so.

In all of David's transparency in his song writing (of his woes and anguish), he always seemed to conclude that God is faithful and worthy of praise and thanksgiving.

David's faithfulness to worship and thanksgiving alone speaks directly to those who follow God today. We have every reason we need, regardless of our current circumstance(s), to quite literally sing and thank God. Why? Because He is God and is in control and has every intention of blessing His children.

Father, You are worthy! Thank You for the life You have given me! i am blessed because I know You and am known by You! You are my God, my provider, and my keeper in everything! You take my difficult situations and turn them to my favor. You cause me to succeed and not fail. You cause me to live and not die. You cause me gain and not lose. You give me understanding and not confusion. You bless me! Thank You!
