Question/Answer

“This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. [Jeremiah 33.2-3]

The LORD spoke this to one of His prophets  - in this case, Jeremiah.

Is it possible that the seeming absence of prophets today is the result of a failure by men to ask God about things to come?  Is it possible that regardless of what the LORD is saying, unless men have seeking hearts, they will not hear it?

Sometimes the 'right answer' makes no sense until it is viewed in light of the question.  Furthermore, is it possible to fully understand an answer apart from the question?

Father, I realize a working relationship with You is bi-directional.  Help me to do my part - to ask You the questions I need to ask - in order to know what it is You are replying.
