Then at last everyone will say, “There truly is a reward for those who live for God; surely there is a God who judges justly here on earth.” [Psalm 58.11]
David expressed his hope in Psalm 58.11. There IS as reward for those who live for God - there IS a God Who judges justly here on earth.
I know the life and journey of a believer is filled with anecdotes and formulas for success. It can be overwhelming - I get that. However, every follower of God in His plan for our salvation through Christ needs to settle one thing before anything else can be understood. Every believer must have, for a foundation stone, the basic confidence that it is always right to do right. In other words, as David put it, this confidence is that there IS a reward for those who live for God.
I think we very easily forget this one little sentence. I think sometimes we get lost in theology and doctrine and forget this very basic and necessary belief that it is just right to live for God.
Father, help me to be reminded today that it is right to live for You!
