Mind-Boggling

The details of today's OYCB reading are almost overwhelmingly boring.  As I considered what I might write about in response, about all I could think of was how many people these events involved.  The number of towns being occupied by Israel at this time is staggering.  And, what's more, the fact that these towns were already established means that other non-Israelite people were either annihilated, displaced, or taken into servitude.  The big picture of Israel's entrance into Canaan is mind-boggling!
