Endurance

But the one who endures to the end will be saved. [Matthew 24.13]

This sounds like an ongoing thing... 

I always want to "fix" something and then go on - but my relationship with the Lord is something that cannot be "fixed" in that way.  My relationship to God is something that requires daily attention - something that will require endurance. 

This is not something that weekly attendance in church is going to remedy.  Frankly not even a set time each and every day meets the criteria of enduring.  Enduring is about living it - not as a passing experience, but a way of life.

Father, I want to endure in my relationship with You.  Not that You are to be endured, but there are worldly consequences and hardships resultant to having a relationship with You.  But You are worth it!
