But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. [II Timothy 4.5]
As a side note to today's NT reading, I found myself noticing that when Paul was brought before judges he was more consistent at preaching the Gospel than he was at defending his legal rights. It seems he had already settled in his mind that he would suffer, so why not just preach! And Paul is encouraging young Timothy to do likewise.
Father, help me to make correct application of what You are speaking to my heart today!
