You [God] asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I [Job]—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. [Job 42.3]
I [Job] take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance. [Job 42.6]
After the Lord had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me, as my servant Job has. [Job 42.7]
OK, so God acquits Job after he (Job) says he was wrong and takes back everything HE SAID. Then God speaks His anger against Job's three friends because they had not SPOKEN accurately - BUT JOB HAD! This is a conflict and makes no sense whatsoever.
Does anyone else see the problem here?
Father, how am I to understand Job when there are obvious conflicts like this?
