Timing or Power?

In Acts 8.14-17 the author indicates that the Holy Spirit was evidently a "second part" of salvation. Furthermore, he implies that the Holy Spirit is the "power".

Now, before anyone gets all religious and defensive for a theological bias, I would like to make a point... Whether one aligns. his or her theology with a "second blessing" or immediate impartation of the Holy Spirit, why is it that neither really demonstrates (with any validity) that true Holy Spirit "power"?

Seriously, there is more time wasted arguing the timing of this impartation than there is spent wondering where the tangible power is for either side! Hello! It is not a matter of timing so much as it is of power!

Father, I want Your tangible power at work in me!
