The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! [John 1.29]
A lot of things have been said about Jesus. A lot of things will yet be said about Jesus. But John's statement today is the one that matters. If we miss this fact about Jesus, we have missed the entirety of what the Bible is all about.
Father, I want to meditate today on the fact of Jesus' mission. Help me not be distracted by details and information that fail to reveal Jesus and His purpose. Thank You for Jesus the Lamb who took away the sin of the world!
