“But you would not listen to me,” says the LORD. “You made me furious by worshiping idols you made with your own hands, bringing on yourselves all the disasters you now suffer. [Jeremiah 25.7]
Should it not concern us that Jeremiah's words here speak directly to the condition of mankind today?
How?
We are still living in the fallout of the Covid-19 Pandemic. What a shipwreck this whole thing has been! Covid-19 is directly tied to the ingenuity of man, engineering and manipulating deadly viruses for who knows what reasons. It might easily be said that Covid-19 was made with man's own hands.
But what does that have to do with Jeremiah 25.7?
Anyone who has been following my posts for any time knows that I believe medicine has become one of many idols to mankind. As such, the idol of medicine (and all the science and "research" involved) was directly responsible for the Covid-19 Pandemic.
God's Word in regard to idols is just as true today as it was the day it was first written.
Father, Your Word is amazing in its timeless relevance to mankind! May Your Word be found true and every man a liar - even myself if I am not 'hearing' from You. So be it!
