God's Business

And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.” “Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Go ahead and tell me your dreams.” [Genesis 40.8]

Not last night, but the night before, I had a couple of dreams.

In one dream, a longtime friend of mine died. I was very emotional at the news of her death. Since she remains alive, I will not mention her name here just to keep it from being weird.

In the other dream, I was trimming a yard with a weed eater and had a conversation with a former US President (who, it seemed, might have been working with me on that yard). In this dream, I was telling that President (Donald Trump) that I pray for him every day (which I did when he was the incumbent President).

Truly, interpreting dreams is God's business... So, if interpreting dreams is God's business, shouldn't that indicate that every dream ever dreamed has meaning whether we ever know it or not?

Father, interpreting dreams is indeed Your business. Help me to be sensitive to dreams and, where necessary, understand their meaning.
