Then Rebekah and her servant girls mounted the camels and followed the man. So Abraham’s servant took Rebekah and went on his way. [Genesis 24.61]

Here is an interesting fact: Rebekah was tending sheep when Abraham's servant found her. She was working.

Here, in verse 61 of chapter 24 of Genesis, we see that Rebekah had servant girls.

So, why was Rebekah out working if she had servant girls?

Obviously, there remains much we do not understand today about the culture of Biblical people in Biblical times...
