God's Will (don't be fooled by doctrines and theologies of man!)

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” [Revelation 21.3-4]

In light of the fact that we were specifically instructed by Jesus to pray, "May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." shouldn't we have a solid understanding of how it is in heaven!

Indeed we should!

If, based on all the Bible says about God and His character, we have not learned that God's dwelling place will only reflect all He Is and all He does, Revelation 21 gives definitive clarity!

There are no tears. No death. No sorrow. No crying. No pain.

This is how it is in heaven - where God dwells.

May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. [Matthew 6.10]

AS IT IS IN HEAVEN is God's will on earth!

We should all save our "yeah, but..."'s for God if we haven't figured it out by the time we get to Him. Our life purpose is to bring the Kingdom of God to all we encounter just as Jesus did. Our ministry is simply this: reconciling people unto God.

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” [2 Corinthians 5.19.20]

Jesus' life and ministry was God reconciling people unto Himself. Every teaching, every word, every, healing, and every miracle were all part of the same ministry: reconciling men unto God.

Jesus' followers' lives are to look no different than Jesus and we have Jesus' own words confirming it!

As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” [John 20.21]

The works of Jesus prove He was sent from God because Jesus brought God's will to earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus' works stand in history as our example.

God's will is known. It is time, with God's people, that it is shown!

Father, as I end this year, may my life be focused more than ever on showing Your will to the world in the year to come!
