Simple and Complex

All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. [1 John 4.15]

Is this all there is to salvation? No. But it is indeed a fact of salvation!

For example, 1 John 5.3 says, "Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome." So, you see there is indeed much more to salvation than just declaring Jesus is the Son of God.

But wait! There's more!

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. [ 1 John 5.1]

That matter of "loving others" is an important factor in salvation as well/

The thing is, salvation is simple and complex all at the same time. How could a relationship with our Holy and powerful God really be any different though?

Father, it is amazing how simple and complex Your plan for mankind is. It is a wonderful picture of You!
